I grew up in the White Mountains of N.H. Local inns and chefs inspired me to pursue a career in food service. Helping out in the kitchen lead to the Culinary Institute of America and then cooking in the real world. I've worked in a Country Club, resorts and hotels, retail restaurants and most recently a major university hospital kitchen.

Writing interests are mostly food related,especially food history but also language, politicsĀ  business and economics.
